The Search for the Ideal Air Pump
Why an air pump and not an airbrush compressor?
1. It's cheaper.
2. It's more durable (air pumps for aquariums are made to operate for 24/7, right?).
3. There's no problem with moisture because air is not compressed and stored.
4. No need for oil topups/changes (also no problem with oil leaks).
5. It's more silent (depends on brand).
Alright, Mr Nakamoto is using the HIBLOW HP40 in his shop.
His 'compressor' is known to serve up to four students at one time.
The HP40's specs can be found HERE.
It's 40 L/min at 3.5 psig(0.024 MPa)
Btw, 1 psig = 0.0069 MPa
Yeah yeah, we're getting kinda technical here.
But that's what you gotta do to find the ideal alternative.

I believe it also comes with a row of multi outlet attachment.
SONIC P125 (125L/min @ 0.04Mpa) = S$180
(They have the P85 model too but it's unsure when its stock will be available)
The Sonic P-series comes with pretty decent attachments too.
There's an online review HERE.
At this shop, it was said that they do provide repair services (mainly for the diaphgram).

VERDICT
At the moment, my top choice would be the Sonic P125 because it's:
- cheap
- very powerful
- has the required attachments
- there's repair support
Btw, the shop is using the Sonic air pump themselves.
The HP60 would be a good choice too if I can afford it, considering Hiblow is a trusted brand.
Followed by the Atman 8000 simply because it's dirt cheap & best of all it comes with all the required attachments.
